ABOUT
I was born and raised in Germany. I have always painted but as a daughter of immigrants and coming from a working-class family, studying art was not an option. Instead, I studied Contruction Technology and Ethics.
After graduating and spending some time traveling, I realized that art was the only thing that truly fulfilled me.
My paintings explore the connection between two people and the relationship we have with ourselves. I work with themes such as childhood trauma, the life as an immigrant and also feminist, queer, and anti-racist perspectives.
I paint myself, lovers, friends and family. I am interested in the experiences and emotions we share and that connect us: anger and disappointment but also courage, empathy, trust, and love.
